Boarding Houses

The residential part of the College is divided into Houses , each House being

looked after by a House Master/House Mistress , who is like a parent to the

pupil . The teacher - pupil ratio is kept small and the constant interaction

between them results in the growth of the child's personality . It is the essence

of the old Gurukul tradition which believed that learning takes place in the

living together of the teacher and the taught . Value education , guidance ,

counselling and attitude formation are implicit in this relationship . The senior

boarding houses are : Ashok , Vikram and Rajendra , which house boys from

Classes IX to XII . The middle level boys stay in the Holkar House which has

a capacity of 180 students . Close to the College temple is the newly formed

Bharati House for girl boarders . The junior boys live in Malwa House . In

addition to this , the College has three non residential boarding houses :

Jawahar for day boarder boys and Indira and Ahilya for day boarder

girls . Inter-house competitions in almost all the games and co-curricular

activities like Debating , Declamation, Education and Quiz are organized on a

regular basis .
